The Faculty of Health introduces a new, festive tradition to celebrate the degree conferment for PhD graduates and new doctors – a celebration of the successful completion of their studies and research.

The ceremony will contain ceremonial and festive speechs, presentation and distribution of diplomas, awarding of the JCD prize and musical entertainment followed by a reception.

The JCD prize

The JCD Prize (the good PhD Supervisor) will be awarded at the graduation ceremony.

The award was founded by the PhD Association in 2012 in the name of Professor, DMSc Jens Christian Djurhuus, in honour of his long-standing work with PhD students.

In addition to the honour, the winner is awarded DKK 25,000.
