GRASPH

Graduate School of Public Health Summer School

The national network for research training on public health, GRASPH, organizes a Summer School once a year. The universities take turns to organize the meeting. This year, AU is responsible for the meeting.

The next meeting is held May 26-27 2015 as a residential course at Comwell Klarskovgaard close to Korsør in a beautiful setting.

Both PhD students and their supervisors are invited. It is the 9th time this meeting, rich in tradition is held and the concept has been unchanged through all the years.

The programme alternates between plenary lectures and presentations in parallel sessions of the student’s projects. The plenary lectures focus both on matters of general interest as well as on specialized subjects within public health research.

Each PhD student will have half an hour for presentation and the following discussion. A specific supervisor and the other students will prepare feedback.

This is a chance for you as a PhD student to discuss a challenging problem in your project as well as listen to your co-student’s problems. As a supervisor you have the opportunity to become updated on what is going on in the different research environments.

The organizing committee is made up of one senior researcher and one PhD student from each of the participating universities. GRASPH finances the course, so you need only to pay for the transport. The GRASPH Summer School counts for 1.0 ECTS point.
