Calls for The Recruitment Scholarship grants are with the purpose of improving internationalisation of the PhD education at Health. When there is an open call it is advertised here.
It is possible to apply for a grant for 1-3 months for a research stay at Health.
The grant awarded is a screening scholarship to international potential PhD students:
The purpose of the research stay is to screen the candidate’s suitability for a PhD study at Health, and the stay can thus be used for preparing an application for PhD enrolment and a general introduction to the local research environment.
The grant consists of a scholarship of DKK 15,000 per month (taxed at source) to be used for living expenses (housing, course fees, etc.) and travel expenses (transport, visa etc.). The grant cannot be used for project materials and permanent equipment or for travel expenses for family members.
The recruitment scholarship is not to be compared with a salaried position (employment) and is not extended due to maternity/paternity leave or sickness. It does not include holiday allowance, pension and AU insurance schemes. It is strongly advised that the candidate takes out a private accident and liability insurance.
A recruitment scholarship does not guarantee enrolment in a PhD programme at Aarhus University and is not to be compared with formal acknowledgement of the candidate's qualifications for enrolment. All applications for enrolment are formally assessed.
There are two application deadlines a year for The Recruitment Scholarship (November/May).
The applications are assessed by the Graduate School management and awarded by the Head of the Graduate School.
Application deadlines:
Deadline | Reply, expected |

30 November | Medio December |

The applicant is the supervisor, who must be employed at Health.
Candidates can use ‘Find a Researcher’ or the webpages of the departments to contact potential supervisors at Health: http://health.au.dk/en/research/research-at-health/. Unfortunately, the administration is unable to assist in getting a supervisor.
