On Friday 21 June at 14.00, Troels Kjeldsen defends his PhD dissertation entitled "Exercise as Medicine in Hip Osteoarthritis - An Investigation of Exercise Type, Muscle Power, and Predictive Factors".

s heavy resistance exercise more effective than exercise focused on motor control in improving physical function for individuals with hip osteoarthritis? Is there a connection between improvements in muscle power and changes in physical function? Can we predict who will achieve the greatest benefit from the exercise programs? Usual exercise treatment for hip osteoarthritis in physiotherapy practice has been challenged in a new PhD project from Aarhus University, Health.
