On Wednesday 25 May at 15.00, Mette Marie Astrup Søndergaard defends her PhD dissertation entitled "Burden and Implications of Cardiovascular Disease in Curatively Treated Patients with Esophageal Cancer".

Concerns regarding cardiovascular (CV) disease (CVD) in patients with esophageal or gastroesophageal junction cancer (EC) have been raised as treatment with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) may be associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity. This PhD project aimed to describe the burden and implications of cardiovascular disease in patients with EC before, during, and after treatment with CRT.

The summary is written by the PhD student.

The defence is public and takes place in auditorium B, G206-142, Entrance G6, Aarhus University Hospital. Please read the attached press release for more information.
