SPARK Denmark is now open for applications
SPARK Denmark – a unique partnership between universities and industry. Do you have a life science related invention you think might be turned into an outstanding product?
SPARK Denmark supports early-stage academic inventions in life science towards commercialisation with industrial mentorship, funding, and education. The aim is to bridge the gap between academia and business while supporting the further development of research results towards commercialisation.
Your project must be within the field of life science and in the areas of therapeutics, diagnostics, health tech, medtech, or industrial biotech.
Main activities of the SPARK programme:
- Selected projects will receive funding of up to DKK 700,000 for 24 months
- Monthly SPARK mentor meetings with industry experts
- Frequent educational sessions on relevant topics for translating research to business
- Access to world-wide SPARK Network
Researchers at all levels (PhD students to experienced professors) from all Danish universities and hospitals can apply.
Applicants may apply for funding of proof-of-concept studies or salary for research assistance and project management. SPARK will not cover salary for main applicant.
