You can apply for an extension if your PhD student's project and education has been delayed as a direct consequence of Covid-19, including the periods when AU’s campuses have been shut down.
An application for extension will not be relevant if the student have worked from home taking online courses, written articles or thesis chapters, and been able to continue with parts of the research and education.
Only main supervisors can apply for an extension due to Covid-19. You apply using the form "Extension of enrolment due to Covid-19". The application must be signed by you with the PhD student as co-signatory.
