Elections at AU

Elections are held every year in November at AU. This is when members are elected to the university’s councils, boards and committees as well as the AU board. Who can vote and for what seats varies over a four-year cycle.
In 2026, students can participate in the elections, including two places for student representatives on the AU board – the university’s highest authority. Academic staff can also stand for election to boards of study and PhD committees. The polls will be open from 9 to 12 November. Find out more at au.dk/valg
