The Danish Advanced Research Academy (DARA) and Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) invites PhD students to join us at the One Health Conference 2027, taking place in Copenhagen on 26–28 January 2027.
Across three days, an international line-up of prominent speakers and experts will explore some of the most pressing and interconnected health challenges of our time — from zoonotic and vector-borne diseases and antimicrobial resistance to microbial evolution, environmental exposures, ecosystem change and human health. The programme brings together perspectives from across disciplines through keynote talks, thematic sessions, workshops and opportunities for scientific exchange and networking.
Meet our speakers
We are proud to present our host Tarja Sironen (University of Helsinki, Finland) and our high-level key speakers Carlos Gonçalo Das Neves (European Food Safety Authority), Elvis Genbo Xu (University of Southern Denmark), Lene Lange (LL-BioEconomy Research & Advisory), Carl-Gustaf Bornehag (Karlstad University, Sweden), Sarah Lebeer (University of Antwerp, Belgium) and Martin Blaser (Rutgers University, USA).
The programme also features three thematic key talks:

Join the conference
Whether your research is already rooted in One Health or you are curious to discover how your field connects to a broader picture, we hope you will join and bring your perspective to the conversation.
Submit your abstract or poster. You do not need to have research results yet. PhD researchers at all stages of their research are welcome to apply, and early-stage PhD students and master’s in their 2nd year can focus their submission on their research plans, questions, objectives and planned methods.
Registration, conference participation, and accommodation are paid by DARA. Travel to and from the conference and excursion venues is the responsibility of the attendee.
