On Friday 12 June at 14:00, Tanita Drejer Jeppesen defends her PhD dissertation entitled “Experimental Evaluation of a Novel Annuloplasty Ring for Aortic Valve Repair”.
In this PhD project, Tanita Drejer Jeppesen investigated the AorticPhlex-ring – a novel open annuloplasty ring designed for aortic valve repair. Experimental in vitro and in vivo studies in porcine models demonstrated preserved aortic annular dynamics and acceptable early biological integration following implantation.
