Villads Lundsteen Jacobsen will defend his PhD dissertation on how nuclear fragmentation affects the effectiveness and precision of ion-therapy used in cancer treatment. His research aims to improve our understanding of nuclear interactions within the human body and explores the possibility of utilizing nuclear reactions in novel treatment modalities such as neutron capture enhanced particle therapy.
