Due to the corona virus situation, some research year students find it hard to carry on with their project as usual e.g. because of lack of access to the lab or supervision.
If this is the case, you need to contact your main supervisor and seek help to finish your research year project within deadline. It might be necessary to adjust theory, methods and literature used and maybe revise the project description in order to finish the project in time.
If necessary, you can ask for an extension of deadline. The procedure for this depends on whether you following the new or old research year scheme.
Please note, a new deadline is not an extension of the fellowship or the leave from your studies, and the research year must be completed alongside your studies (financed by SU)
A Research Year gives Medical and Dentistry students a unique opportunity to learn and become acquainted with relevant methods, scientific literature and research in general.
The Research Year at the Graduate School of Health is 1 - 2 semesters fulltime research at one of the departments at the Faculty of Health.
