Call for applications for a fully financed PhD fellowship
The project aims to test the safety and efficacy of two drugs against glioblastoma patients in a clinical trial. The PhD candidate will integrate clinical trial work with biomarker profiling.
The project includes:
Clinical trial participation, including patient interaction and follow-up
Collection and processing of patient-derived tissue, CSF, and blood samples
Data management
Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analyses
Biobanking and structured sample handling workflows
Good clinical practice work
As a PhD student, your tasks will include both clinical and experimental work in a highly collaborative environment:
Participation in clinical trial operations, including screening, inclusion, and monitoring of patients
Collection, handling, and processing of human tissue and biofluids
Registration and validation of data in electronic databases (e.g., REDCap/eCRF)
Participation in regulatory, administrative, and GCP-related tasks
Coordination of biobanking and sample logistics
Participation in pharmacological analyses and drug profiling
Collaboration with national and international partners
A unique translational PhD project
Direct involvement in a first-in-field clinical trial
Access to advanced multi-omics and pharmacological platforms
A strong international research environment with leading collaborators
Training in both clinical trial conduct and experimental techniques
You will be supervised by Associate Professor Anders Rosendal Korshøj and work closely with collaborators across Aarhus University Hospital and international partner institutions.
