We were so happy to get back to physical surroundings for Medical Innovation Day 2021, which took place in Stakladen/AU Conference Center on 15 October 2021 (pre-event 11 Oct for Challenge Track).
The day offered interesting pitches on innovative ideas within health tech and pharma by AU researchers, great energy and creativity among the students at the challenge competition solving the case ‘How do we secure social equality and early detection in treatment of lung cancer?’ posed by Roche, and educative talks from our two speakers Associate Professor Magdalena Janina Laska and Director of the Danish Life Science Cluster Diana Arsovic.
All challenge participants worked with the same case presented by Roche; How do we secure social equality and early detection in treatment of lung cancer?'
The winners of the Challenge Track and the Innovative Ideas Track (Pharma and Health Tech) will get a one-day trip to Roche (https://www.roche.dk/).

Due to the COVID-19 situation, Medical Innovation Day 2020 was conducted as a virtual event. The participants of the challenge track, however, met physically (in compliance with the healthcare guidelines) .
In this new set-up, the event offered great topics, interesting discussions and educative talks from keynote speaker, associate professor and entrepreneur Fatima AlZahra'a Alatraktchi, the pharma company MipSalus ApS and Dean Eskild Holm Nielsen from Faculty of Technical Sciences - Aarhus University – and a challenging case competition on influenza solved for Roche by some of the university’s brilliant students.
All challenge participants worked with the same case presented by Roche; "How do we eradicate influenza?".
The winners of the Challenge Track and the Innovative Ideas Track (Pharma and Health Tech) will get a one-day trip to Roche (https://www.roche.dk/).
